I Want a New Cell Phone, But
I went into the Cingular store last night to possibly buy one of their most expensive phones. I dont write that to brag, its for work purposes. However, heres why I didnt upgrade my phone or change services: The phone does not have insurance offered for it. Thats right, they want me to spend hundreds of dollars on a device that will get outdated but if something happens to it they dont even offer a way for me to insure it. Because the device is a PDA I have to buy their $24.99 (USD) a month internet connectivity plan if I want to use the phone for anything other than a phone. Forget the fact that I could get a cable and plug the phone into my laptop and use it as an internet connection for a modem using only phone minutes. Im going to buy a Pocket PC from Dell and move on. This is really silly, Cingular.

Mora's cell phone use still being probed
The NFL has yet to rule whether Falcons coach Jim Mora's use of a cellular phone on the sideline of Saturday's 27-24 overtime loss warrants a reprimand, the NFL office said Thursday. The incident is still under review, the league said. The use of cell phones is not allowed on the field or sideline, however, according to Falcons' president and general manager Rich McKay, the rule is designed to prevent communication regarding the review of a play. Police say Missouri woman swallowed cell phone whole to end fight
A lovers' dispute over a cell phone ended suddenly when the woman swallowed the phone whole, police said. Police said they received a call at 4:52 a.m. Friday from a Blue Springs man who said his girlfriend was having trouble breathing. When they arrived at the house they found the 24-year-old woman had a cell phone lodged in her throat. "He wanted the phone and she wouldn't give it to him, so she attempted to swallow it," Detective Sgt. Steve Decker of the Blue Springs Police Department. "She just put the entire phone in her mouth so he couldn't get it."
