Sprint Nextel, has very quietly launched the first legal music download service for cell phones in the United States. The new Sprint Music Store allows customers to download a complete song directly to their cell phone for $2.50 without having to connect their phone to a computer. Sprint Intros Location-Based Service
A new location-based service from Sprint PCS promises to provide driving directions to its customers. According to the company, this marks the initial deployment of its LBS portfolio, which is designed to identify a customer's location from a voice call and deliver a range of information to them. Most Sprint PCS customers already have wireless phones with the necessary technology built in to use the LBS serviceusing the new LBS voice service.
